Perfect addition to my Silhouette gowns
This is a perfect addition to my Silhouette gowns. The sleeves are too short but, that’s because I’m a 6’6″, 225lb guy but, it fits perfectly otherwise. It looks and feels wonderful and, is a dream to wear. I absolutely love lounging around the house in it. Guys, if your comfortable in you own masculinity, try the Shadowline Silhouette line of sleepware!! You won’t be sorry and you’ll NEVER go back to boring old men’s sleepware again!!And for the people complaining about how thin the material is, IT’S SUPPOSED TO BE THAT WAY!!! These are made from Shadowline’s Satinrique Nylon which is very sheer. They are very well made and hold up for a long time. I’ve had several of the gowns for years and they look just as good today as when I first bought them.

Elegant and Beautiful
I have been longing for a Shadowline peignoir set for over 20 years. About 2 years ago I purchased the long nightgown in ivory. It was on sale for a wonderful low price. I have been watching Amazon since that time for the matching robe. It went on sale for a great price and I was able to complete my set. This set is lovely and very elegant. Wish I could afford another in a different color, but feel blessed that I was finally able to finish the set for a reasonable price.

Runs small in my opinion.
In all fairness, a large was recommended, but I went by the size guide and my measurements. A large seemed like it would be too big. I wear a size 10 and ordered medium. I should have gotten a large. Same with the matching gown. A medium was recommended for that. I’m going to keep them rather than mess with returning them. I can still wear them. They’re just tighter than I prefer. I’m trying to be healthier and lose a few pounds. Hopefully I’ll like the fit better then, and it will be incentive for me. They are pretty.I should have learned by now that for me when ordering these type of things on line, they tend to run small. Plus, I may not be real large, but things don’t fit me and look like they do in the pictures on the models.😊

Don’t waste money
I have always loved Shadowline products. You always knew you were buying a quality item. This was very pretty but not the quality that I expected. Feels cheap to me. It also ran smaller than every other Shadowline item that I own. I returned it.

Amazingly beautiful!
I had some high hopes when buying this, just hoping none of the bad reviews panned out in my case. And boy was I right to order! It is stunning! It’s so lightweight, flattering and fits smoothly. I did not see any defects even after a wash/dry cycle. I did use the delicate setting to hopefully not create any issues. But overall, I’m so glad I went with this. I use it over my more delicate nightgown as a coverup around the house. But once I put this thing on, I don’t want to take it off! It feels so wonderful on my skin, and I since I ordered larger just in case (I always order larger, easier to manage than something too small), it has the wiggle room for doing things around the house. It fits perfectly around the bust, with the little bit of elasticity needed just in case, and flares downward around my natural shape. I cannot be more happy with this. May buy more!

Fit, fabric, femininity
I bought this as a gift, a wedding gift. The Periwinckle color is beautiful a soft cool color that is actually quite universal (meaning most people look good in Periwinkle). The bodice part of both the gown and the robe is made of stretch lace and not only lends itself to a welcome easy fit, but also is quite flattering because it lends support without any of the usual discomfort of the usual equipment for such. The dress and sleeves is tricot and hangs and drapes beautifully. It seems to be quite nicely made and of quality materials. High heat drying of elastic lace fabric will eventually make it look yukky (word of warning).The small was purchased for a tall friend, it fit well below her knee, but the sleeves fit adorable as 3/4 sleeves. A larger size would have likely had the length but felt the shoulder fit was most important. The stretch in it makes the size somewhat forgiving.Definitely recommend and add it is beautiful, feminine and flattering. Oh and yes it has enough gather/fullness through the hips to be lovely (especially in that reguard) for a pear shape—but really all body types should find it quite flattering and nice.Hope this helps ya.

Beautiful and open
I gained weight over covid lockdown going from weighing 113 to 135! This fits quite snug on me at the present but can be worn with just the top button attached. 🙂 Still looks beautiful. This is very sheer so to be worn over a full coverage nightgown which I do. It only has 3-4 buttons at the top to hold in place and the rest of the gown is open and flowy. Hope this review helps! I’m okay not ordering the medium over the small because I am slowly going back down to my normal weight. I am very small up top so for someone with larger breasts I would order up a size or if you weigh over 130 lbs and are 5’4 or shorter order the medium!

I bought the gown in Ivory, and then decided I’d like to have one ‘set’, so I bought the Long coat (as they call it). I feel very elegant in it. I wish you could just go to a Dept store and still buy these kinds of lovely nightgowns. I now have the Ivory, Black and the Red. they fit perfectly and the bodice is an elasticized lace which shapes itself to you. The rest of the long flowing fabric is lightweight which is perfect because you are under the bedding after all and don’t need a heavy gown. It doesn’t tangle itself up around my legs, which surprised me in a good way.

Looks lovely with a bit of sexiness . Matches perfectly with their Silhouette nightgown of the same colour . Maybe a little shear , but I don’t wear it when we have company over or I go out shopping so who cares !
