A Quality Robe for Retiring at Night
I congratulate myself for having evolved to the point where I can now wear a robe. I am almost completely civilized now. This robe reminds me of some of the flowing robes I have seen karate masters wearing. I digress. This robe is a subdued grey, as is suitable for an item one would conceivably wear to bed, or to lounge around in at night. It has two large front pockets, which I greatly appreciate. My method of wearing this robe is with just a pair of my boxers.The fabric is quite comfortable and absorbent, as is welcome for potential night sweats. Although it could be mistaken for cotton, the fabric is ostensibly made of acrylic and viscose. The broad collar which extends almost down to the abdomen gives this item a stylistic flair. The robe itself is quite long, and extends all the way down to my shins. This runs true to size; I acquired the XL which is almost too large for me.I would have wished for buttons, as I am not altogether comfortable with just having an open front, even with the belt that can be tied at the waist. The belt is sewn own, and cannot be misplaced. The fact that the brand label “Slumbermee” as appears in raised letters on each pocket is not conspicuous is greatly appreciated. In all, this is a quality robe for the night.

High-Water Sleeves, Doesn’t Look As Good As On Product Page
I have this really heavy cotton Land’s End Terry Robe which I really hate. Despite how heavy it is, it’s never warm and is just plain uncomfortable. So, I had high hopes for this “Year Round Plush Robe.” It really can only be used in the warmer seasons, but I can’t say for sure as it’s still winter (at least until tomorrow, March 20).However, when I first put it on, it was not plush at all. It’s made with a very, very thin material. It also provides absolutely no warmth, so it is definitely not made for ‘Year Round’ use. And I live in California where it really never gets too cold, so I can’t imagine this working anywhere real winters strike.Also, the shawl collar has absolutely no structure. It kind of just collapses due to the very thin material. The images on the product page definitely do not represent the reality of what you actually get when it’s on.But the worst part in my opinion is the sleeves come up way too high. It’s SO uncomfortable. Think high-water pants, except for the arms, and you’ll understand my frustration.I would give it an even lower rating, but am hoping it will work better in the spring and summer months. Definitely NOT worth the $69.99 it’s currently being sold for. Very disappointed.
