Disappointing in quality and look
I have several satin kimono robes and I love them. Generally, they are a nice weight satin that you can’t see through and have beautiful prints. I love birds so when I saw this, I ordered it for myself and as a gift. However, when I received it, I was very disappointed. The fabric is very thin, like a liner fabric. The print is somewhat dull and the placement of the bird is so that half the bird is cut off on the front panel. That’s the part you will see first! That’s the reason you buy it. This is definitely going back, what a disappointment in quality and look. The other kimonos I’ve bought in the past were so much nicer and less expensive than this. I’m afraid to buy any more because this may be the new low quality norm out there, just like everything else.

I need one for myself
I bought this robe for my mother in law for Christmas, and when I first received it I contemplated keeping it and getting her something else. It was soooooo silky soft and so much more beautiful than I had hoped for. Yes it’s a print but real silk or cotton woven kimonos are extremely expensive, so for what you’re ordering it’s a lovely , quality product. My mother rin law loved it and immediately put it on. I need one for myself now! I recommend hanging it up for a while to get the creases out from it being folded up.
